Public Consultation

The future of the Enbridge Northern Gateway Project rests with the communities of the North. We are committed to meaningful and open discussion with Aboriginals, stakeholders, communities and private landowners in BC and Alberta.

Northern Gateway is hosting several open houses this fall where community members will be invited to express their views and learn more about the project.

  • Results of consultation efforts will be considered as the project design and routing is finalized
  • Enbridge will ensure that environmental impacts are mitigated and that the construction of the project exceeds best practices with regards to safety and environmental protection

In 2009, we will undertake additional activities such as:

  • Environment and socio-economic monitoring workshops
  • Community advisory groups to advise on environmental protection measures
  • On-line modules summarizing the regulatory application
