Vessel Safety
Vessel travel speed will be reduced in the marine channels to between 8 and 12 knots
All vessels entering Kitimat will be modern and double-hulled
All vessels will be under the direction of experienced and certified local marine pilots to provide guidance through coastal waterways
Only vessels meeting our high safety and environmental standards will be permitted at our terminal
Operational safety limits will be established to cover visibility, wind and sea conditions
