Enbridge ensures that local emergency personnel have up to date and accurate information to assist in the event of an incident. Regular emergency drills are conducted to ensure employees have the best training possible to protect people, property and the environment.
Landowners and others close to pipeline rights of way also make important contributions.
By observing right-of-way safety precautions and letting Enbridge know of anything out of the ordinary, we can all help to protect our environment.
In addition, first response stations equipped to deal with emergencies will be located along the pipeline and in coastal communities along the marine route. We envision a coastal community strategy that will employ local resources to assist with first response along the coast.
