Economic Opportunity

Education & Training

Northern Gateway is committed to giving British Columbians and Albertan skills training opportunities related to the project. We will:

  • Assess the capacity of communities to participate in Northern Gateway
  • Identify any gaps between community readiness and project requirements
  • Work collaboratively with governments, unions, BC’s Industry Training Authority, communities, training and post-secondary institutions, industry and other partners/stakeholders to address those gaps
  • Make substantial contributions to solutions in response to skills shortages
  • Leave a lasting legacy of skills development in the communities along the route
